Have you noticed your phone or laptop overheating more than usual lately?
That’s likely the cause of radiation – and it’s everywhere these days.
Modern devices like laptops, computers and WiFi networks are responsible for incredible amounts of radiation in our environment these days. The source of this radiation comes from Electromagnetic Fields, which are emitted constantly around the world.
It’s a big topic lately, especially with the introduction of 5G. But is it something you should be concerned about? Let’s find out.
Note: A few months ago, we covered 5G. A lot of you responded, which was great to see! We’ve done some further research since, and we’ve learned some interesting things. In fact, we were so fascinated, we even managed to partner with a really cool company that is doing something about this issue – more on that later!
What is Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Radiation?
EMF radiation is a form of non-ionizing radiation emitted by modern electrical devices. It’s particularly powerful in connected sources, like smart devices, phones, computers, and yes – cell towers, such as the ones being built for the upcoming global 5G network.
This radiation has grown excessively in recent years – far beyond any predictions made. In fact, radiation levels are currently 100 million times higher than they were 50 years ago!
This is likely due to the rapid growth in cell phone usage and modern devices. And to make matters more concerning, studies show that our bodies absorb EMF radiation like a sponge. It’s especially concerning when you consider the fact that children absorb 10X more EMF radiation than adults… and childhood cancer rates have risen by 27% since 1975.
So now for the big question…
Is EMF radiation harmful?
Bottom line: we don’t know.
On one hand, studies show EMF radiation is non-ionizing – which theoretically shouldn’t cause us harm. However, the studies that “proved” this may not be accurate – and they were taken many years ago.
On the other hand, studies and anecdotal reports both show a wide range of potential side effects from EMF radiation. These side effects include:
- Headaches.
- Sleep disturbances, including insomnia.
- Depression and depressive symptoms.
- Tiredness and fatigue.
- Dysthesia (a painful, often itchy sensation).
- Lack of concentration.
- Changes in memory.
- Dizziness.
Some experts deny these claims – but others say there’s a serious problem that we’re ignoring. Recently, 250+ scientists signed an appeal to the United Nations, asking them to restrict EMF and 5G developments.
They say the risk is too high, and we simply don’t know enough about EMF radiation. It’s a divisive issue – either give up our 5G and play it safe, or take the risk and deal with the fallout later.
That choice doesn’t sound great – especially to those of us who love our devices. So here at GiddyUp, we started looking for solutions… and we were quite proud to discover this one!
What can we do to reduce exposure?
Right now, it seems like you only have two options: eliminate devices in your life, or find a way to reduce the EMF levels they emit.
Because let’s face it: we don’t have any power to change the government’s mind. However, we can do something to protect ourselves.
We’re proud to be partners with an innovative company that noticed this problem… and decided to do something about it. They invented an anti-radiation device called smartDOT – and it’s a major breakthrough in personal EMF care.
What are smartDOTs?
To use a smartDOT, you simply stick it to your EMF-emitting device – like your smartphone, laptop, game system, etc. The smartDOT uses a powerful magnet to re-tune and reduce EMFs coming from your device automatically.
That means it also reduces the heat level of your phone (which is a side effect of radiation). Here at GiddyUp, we love using them – not only do they avoid overheated phones, it’s great to finally have some peace of mind regarding the potential effects of EMFs.
Of course, when we find cool (and useful) inventions like this, we don’t keep them to ourselves! Instead, we partner with them – then see if we can get you a special deal. In this case, we were successful yet again! As one of our readers, you can get 1 FREE smartDOT when you buy 2 – just use the link below.

Conclusion: The jury is still out on EMF Radiation… but it never hurts to be protected.
We’ve seen all sorts of studies now, and sadly, the bottom line is that nobody knows for sure what effects EMF radiation might be having on us.
That’s why we’re not taking any chances – we’re protecting ourselves in any way we can (with smartDOTs, but also by reducing our time near powerful devices like WiFi routers).
At the same time, we need to lobby for better research into this topic. 5G will certainly bring some incredible benefits, but it’s also an unprecedented source of this radiation – and it seems like we have no choice. It’s coming.
We will stay on top of this issue and continue reporting as we discover new information. If you have any questions or thoughts, please leave a comment below.

EMF effects do not affect flesh or brain tissue until voltage/frequency reach levels induced only by supply voltages or currents reach levels which kill human tissues.
Roger
As a physicist and having consulted with other physicists, including bio-phyicists, none of us are of the opinion that electromagnetic fields are harmful to humans. we can say that with 99% certainty but we cannot say that with 100% certainty is because it is impossible to conduct experiments on humans. The reason we say this is because electromagnetic waves decrease in power exponentially so that unless a person is within a few centimeters of the source and is exposed for a long period of time, there is no risk of any damage occurring to anyone being exposed to the electromagnetic emissions. For example, take a sun lamp which is a source of electromagnetic waves. If a person iis very closee to the lamp for an extensive period of time, the person will be burned. However, if the person is a few feet away, the person will fell the heat but suffer no ill effects. .
I think we are really seeing the affects of 5g especially here in the Uk.
