Dogs have dog houses… so why don’t cats have cat houses?! Well, now they do.

Throw away the old box that your cat claimed and prepare them to lounge around in a box that looks like a juice box, ice cream shop, or even a stylish swiss chalet.

How does it work?

Entrepreneur Courtney Spens and graphic designer Allie Valdez teamed up to create a subscription-based service called Habicats that allows cats to explore, play, and scratch in a unique cardboard home – that’s conveniently delivered to your (human) home.

Habicats sends subscribers a newly designed cat home on a monthly, bi-monthly, or annual subscription.

The boxes are designed so that every cat home will have a new look each time it’s ordered so there’s no risk of getting repetitive playhouses (all mortgage-free).

It also includes a step-by-step guide on how to put the playhouse together.

Is it safe?

Every feline home uses high-quality digital printing containing non-toxic residues and is 100% recyclable. It can even be put into the compost!

Now, some cats might be overly playful (or scratchy)… which is why the homes are designed to be durable.

It even has a scratcher pad that functions as the base of the house so owners can breathe a sigh of relief for their furniture.

Where can I sign up?

The concept is currently in its crowdfunding phase on IndieGogo. Pet owners will soon be able to order a cat house by selecting their preferred subscription plan online.

Prices start at $29/month and crowd funders get an early bird special. If you’ve ever wanted to give your cat a small place to call their own… this is your chance!
